Netsuite Quote-To-Cash Integration

Quote-to-Cash is one of the most critical processes for a business as it is responsible for driving revenue for the organization, yet it is one of the most difficult processes to optimise. A leading product company based out of the US was losing customers because of the siloed and disconnected process, lengthy processing time taken to prepare and finalize quotes and the ineffective payment follow-up mechanisms adopted.

RailsData Expertise:

RailsData was brought in to help with integrating the Quote-to-Cash process by using multiple applications. The company wanted to manage the buying process through a cloud-based ERP (Oracle NetSuite) and use a digital platform to manage the contract and legal documentation (DocuSign). The requirement also included use of a web-based payment processing app (Stripe) for managing the eCommerce activity and a reliable and scalable app for managing customer relationship (Zendesk). Finally, an app (Slack) to organise and manage communications between company and buyers. In essence, the task was to build an app ecosystem encompassing the entirety of sales, contract and customer relationship lifecycle.

Solution:

In the new integrated app ecosystem built by RailsData, the customer had the ability to easily choose a combination of products, get a quote and sign the contract…all within a few steps. This was made simpler by integration of the Oracle NetSuite, DocuSign and Stripe. The payment process consisting of notifying the customer to make the payment, sending weekly and monthly reminders, charging late fee for delayed payments and initiating legal proceedings for failed payments were managed effortlessly through Slack.

Result:

By integrating and optimising the highly collaborative apps to streamline the quote-to-cash process, RailsData was able to bring better visibility of the sales process, speed up the sales cycle and drive a higher percentage of deals closure. The integrated applications were making the process more productive and simpler by using NetSuite, DocuSign, Stripe, Zendesk and Slack to automate the end-to end Quote-to-Cash process. This helped the company reduce the manual errors to almost zero and eliminate unusable quotes created by the sales team.
