Salesforce - Shopify Integration

Effectively managing the sales cycle in a company is one of the most difficult processes, especially if you are a product company with multiple products and teams. A leading US based product company with an eCommerce front-end portal realized that their marketing and sales department was disconnected and was not able to nurture the leads into opportunities and convert them. Inefficiency in the lead management process meant lack of visibility and follow through on leads which lead to poor sales funnels and inaccurate sales forecasts.

RailsData Expertise:

RailsData was brought in to address the lead management challenge and to set in place an integrated sales and marketing system. The extensive expertise in integrating multiple sales and marketing applications like Salesforce, Shopify and Slack using the Workato platform and recipes were the prime considerations for selecting RailsData for this task.

Solution:

RailsData developed a new integrated workflow involving many applications. Salesforce was used to keep track of the customer information and the product specifications. It also assisted the marketing team to nurture prospects through the marketing funnel and ensures that the warm prospects were passed on to the sales teams for closure. Once an opportunity was converted into a win in Salesforce, the data automatically moved into Shopify, the ecommerce site, to fulfill the order for the customer. The information was then passed on to the application Stripe for billing, invoice generation and tracking.

As part of the sales cycle, once the order was completed, a feedback survey form was automatically generated and sent to the customer’s email. All positive feedback were processed and posted on social media to promote the company. All negative feedback were treated as tickets in the Zendesk application and were automatically queued for the customer support team to take action and for follow up with the customer to resolve the issue.

Result:

The product company was able to automate the entire sales workflow which included applications such as Eventbrite, Salesforce, Shopify, Stripe, Survey Monkey, Facebook and Zendesk. By integrating these applications and automating the end-to-end sales cycle, the company was able to:
